Boston Private Financial Holdings, Inc. operates as the bank holding company for Boston Private Bank & Trust Company that provides a range of wealth management services in the United States. The company operates in three segments: Private Banking, Investment Management, and Wealth Advisory. Its deposit products include checking accounts, demand deposits, NOW accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts, and certificates of deposit. The company’s loan portfolio comprises residential mortgage loans, mortgage loans on investment or vacation properties, unsecured and secured personal lines of credit, home equity loans, and overdraft protection for individuals; and commercial and mortgage loans, revolving lines of credit, working capital loans, equipment financing, community lending programs, and construction and land loans for businesses. It also provides investment management services for pension funds, endowments, trusts, foundations and select institutions, mutual funds, and high net worth individuals and their families. In addition, the company offers financial planning, tax planning and preparation, estate and insurance planning, retirement planning, charitable planning, and intergenerational gifting and succession planning services, as well as fiduciary services, including investment management, advisory, and administrative services. It serves individuals and their families, small and medium-sized businesses, and professionals; real estate investors; and middle market businesses, including corporations, partnerships, associations, and nonprofit organizations primarily in the New England, San Francisco Bay, Southern California, and the Pacific Northwest. Boston Private Financial Holdings, Inc. was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts.
