Technical Analysis for BBT - BB&T Corporation

Grade Last Price % Change Price Change
grade D 49.35 -1.18% -0.59
BBT closed down 1.18 percent on Thursday, April 18, 2019, on approximately normal volume. It was able to bounce off of its 200 day moving average, an important long-term support line. The stock fell below its 50 day moving average, damaging its intermediate-term outlook by crossing under that important trendline. The price action carved out a bullish hammer (or hammer-like) candlestick pattern. That may indicate an upside reversal. Look for price to trade above the high of the hammer for confirmation. Note that the stock is in overbought territory based on its Slow Stochastic indicator (14, 3, 3) -- sideways movement or a pullback should not be unexpected.
