Actuant Corporation designs, manufactures, and distributes a range of industrial products and systems worldwide. The company's Industrial segment provides high-force hydraulic tools, heavy lifting solutions, production automation solutions, and concrete stressing products to the general maintenance and repair, industrial, infrastructure, and production automation markets. Its Energy segment offers joint integrity products consisting of hydraulic torque wrenches, bolt tensioners, and portable machining equipment for oil and gas, and power generation installations, as well as rope and cable solutions for oil and gas, heavy marine, subsea, ROV, and seismic customers. The company's Electrical segment provides electrical products, such as wire strippers, electrical meters, connectors, terminals, cable ties, staples, and other wire management products and conduit bending equipment under the Gardner Bender, Del City, and A.W. Sperry brands. This segment also offers power transformation products, including low voltage, single-phase transformers, and custom toroidal transformers under the Acme Electric brand and high voltage switches under the Turner Electric brand to various customers in the industrial, marine, power generation, industrial, and retail markets. Its Engineered Solutions segment designs and assembles position and motion control systems and other industrial products to transportation and other niche markets; and provides actuation systems, mechanical power transmission products, engine air flow management solutions, and rugged electronic instrumentation to original equipment manufacturer in various vehicle markets. This segment also provides electronic instrumentation; power transmission products; and a line of case, container, and industrial hardware to the agricultural, lawn and turf, construction, forestry, industrial, aerospace, material handling, and security industries. The company was founded in 1910 and is headquartered in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.
