America First Tax Exempt Investors, L.P. engages in acquiring, holding, selling, and dealing with a portfolio of federally tax-exempt mortgage revenue bonds that have been issued to provide construction and/or permanent financing of multifamily residential apartments. As of December 31, 2012, it owned 22 federally tax-exempt mortgage revenue bonds issued by various state and local housing authorities containing a total of 3,880 rental units located in the states of Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. America First Capital Associates Limited Partnership Two serves as the general partner of the company. The company was founded in 1998 and is based in Omaha, Nebraska.
