It is co-managed by Morgan Stanley Investment Management Limited and Morgan Stanley Investment Management Company. The fund invests in the public equity and fixed income markets of Asia- Pacific. It makes its investments in stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. The fund employs fundamental analysis and uses top-down stock selection approach to create its portfolio. It benchmarks the performance of its portfolio against the MSCI Japan Net Index and MSCI All-Country Asia Pacific Free ex-Japan Net Index. The fund was formerly known as Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Asia-Pacific Fund Inc. Morgan Stanley Asia-Pacific Fund, Inc was formed on August 1, 1994 and is domiciled in the United States.
