TETRA Technologies, Inc. operates as a diversified oil and gas services company. The company operates in three divisions: Fluids, Production Enhancement, and Offshore. The Fluids division manufactures and markets clear brine fluids, additives, and other associated products and services to the oil and gas industry for use in well drilling, completion, and work over operations in the United States, as well as in various countries in Latin America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa; and markets liquid and dry calcium chloride products to non-energy markets. This division also provides frac water management services to onshore oil and gas operators. The Production Enhancement division offers after-frac flow back, production well testing, offshore rig cooling, and other associated services in oil and gas producing regions in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, as well as in certain oil and gas basins in certain regions in South America, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. It also provides compression-based production enhancement services, which are used in conventional wellhead compression applications and unconventional compression applications, and in well monitoring and sand separation services. This division offers its production enhancement services in the onshore oil and gas producing regions of the United States, as well as certain basins in Mexico and Canada, and certain countries in South America, Eastern Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. The Offshore division provides offshore services, including downhole and subsea oil and gas well plugging and abandonment services; decommissioning and construction services utilizing heavy lift barges and various technologies for offshore oil and gas production platforms and pipelines; and conventional and saturated air diving services. This division offers its services to oil and gas companies and independent operators. The company was founded in 1981 and is headquartered in the Woodlands, Texas.
