It offers FAS Storage Platform based on Data ONTAP, an operating system (OS) that supports storage area network (SAN) and network-attached storage (NAS) environments; storage efficiency technologies, such as FlexVol, FlexClone, and Deduplication technologies; and storage management and application integration software comprising OnCommand management software that controls, automates, and analyzes shared storage infrastructures. The company also offers fabric-attached storage unified storage systems for the storage of data on various OS platforms and network infrastructures; V-Series network-based virtualization solutions that provide SAN and NAS access to the data stored in heterogeneous storage arrays; data protection software products; data retention and archive products; storage security products; and StorageGRID, an object storage software to manage petabyte-scale object-oriented repositories of images, video, and records for enterprises and service providers. In addition, it offers and E-Series systems for data storage. Further, the company provides professional services, technical support solutions, and customer education and training to help customers in managing their data. It sells its products to energy, financial services, government, high technology, Internet, life sciences and healthcare services, manufacturing, media, entertainment, animation and video postproduction, and telecommunications sectors in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific. The company was founded in 1992 and is headquartered in Sunnyvale, California.
